The competition is open to all children who attend the Extended School Clubs. There will be one winner from the juniors and one winner from the infants. All children who enter will recieve a certificate.

Entries must be in by Tuesday 1st March and winners will be announced in assembly on Monday 7th March.

Football and KS2 Spanish

We need just a few more children to take on a second group for football. If we do not get enough interest, KS1 and the waiting list of children for KS2 will have to be cancelled.

Spanish has been offered out to KS2 children again, as requested by many parents, but this term we have not had much interest, so this may have to be cancelledn also.

Extended Clubs Important Information!

An important newsletter from Moorhens has just been uploaded to the website with the most current details on the Extended School Clubs programme.

First and foremost, it covers what is happening with clubs during the week of parents consulation evenings next week:
Remember that "if your child is in a club on Tuesday 15th February or Thursday 17th February then please can you collect him/her from the ICT block rather than the main entrance. All clubs will proceed as normal but if the weather is bad we may have to cancel netball."

Secondly, the newsletter details the clubs that are already full and the ones that have a few places remaining for next half-term -- if you still need a place then grab it fast!

Lastly, Moorhens reveal they will be holding a new art competition, with prizes for the best entries!

On Friday 21st January 2011, Moor Hall was presented with the 'Clewer Trophy' for "Outstanding Primary School of the Year" in Sutton Coldfield. This was in recognition of our achievements in PE, the delivery of the curriculum and the range of opportunities for children at the school.

Mr Steggall said "we are absolutely delighted to have received this award. Our provision in PE is a key strength of the school".

The award was presented to Mr Steggall by Mrs Clewer, who had been given the honour of having an award in her name due to all the outstanding work she has done not only at Moor Hall but for Sutton Coldfield Sports generally.
