Moorhens - New Inset Day

We have a  new inset day for Friday 21st Oct (last day of term). As some of Moorhens parents have already booked sessions for that day, any sessions which have been booked, will be credited for the Nov-Dec term.

Website updates

The website has been updated today with a few different things. 

First, the latest school newsletter (dated 24th January) has been uploaded for your browsing pleasure. This details refunds for clubs/dinners on the days when school was closed, Year 5's fruit stall, coffee with the headteacher, and more. Alongside this, the minutes from this months PA meeting have been added to the Parents Association page.

Lastly the diary dates are now up to date with the latest goings on in and around school.

Four Oaks Cluster Schemes and Activities

There are lots of great activities and useful schemes lead by the Four Oaks Cluster. Why not check out the latest crop of flyers to see if there's anything you're interested in?

Baby Signing - A 6 week course on baby signing, starting 24th February.

Enta - Free career support on Tuesdays.

Family Guys - Saturday sessions for male carers.

Grandparents Group - Coffee afternoons for grandparents who look after children.

Riding the Storm - A two-part workshop for parents with teenage children, running on the 3rd and 10th February.

Save a Baby's Life - Essential first aid and life saving day on Saturday 3rd March.

Terrific Tuesday - Free Honky Tonks taster session and Stay and Play, Tuesday 14th February.

The latest school newsletter has just been published on the school website. You can grab a copy by clicking on the newspaper, or by visiting the school news webpage for a complete list of recent newsletters.

Website Updates this Week

This week we have a few updates on the website.

First up, the newest files are now up for choir members to learn their words. The newest songs added are:

Secondly, we have the latest school dinner menus, taking us right up to April. You can download these files from our school meals page.

The third item to be added is a uniform-buying survey. Over the summer, the company we use for providing our school uniforms has changed hands. To quote the accompanying newsletter: 

"We wish to have a full picture of the experience parents have when ordering uniform from the yourschooluniform.com website. Please can you fill in the attached survey form with any comments you wish to make, both good and bad, and return it to the school office before we break up for half term."

So if you have bought uniform using the company during or since the summer, we would greatly appreciate your feedback - click here to open the form, and return to the school office when completed.

Lastly, a couple of tweaks to the website - we have now added Diary Dates and the School Blog to the side menu so that they're even easier to find!
