Our number work!

This week Ladybirds have been doing lots of work with numbers; counting, ordering numbers and creating our own number lines.

We were also treated to an impromptu performance from Mollie after she received her Twinkle Variations certificate in violin. Well done Mollie, Ladybirds are very proud of you!

Colour Mixing... with hands and Jelly!

Ladybird's have been exploring colour mixing. We used our hands to investigate what happens when you mix the primary colours together.

We painted one hand in a primary colour...

On Friday we mixed jelly in our pyjamas! We each chose two different colours of jelly we wanted to mix together and predicted the new colour they would make. The best part about it was taking the jelly home to eat!

Ladybird's Catch up!

Ladybird's have made a fantastic start to the new half term. Everyone returned to school refreshed and raring to go; including the teachers! We kicked off our 'Colour' topic and our first week activities included creating firework pictures for Bonfire Night and making candle holders used in the celebration of Diwali called Divas.

We were very lucky to have Harleen and Simarpreet's mummy's come in to tell us all about the celebration of Diwali. Harleen and Simarpreet both dressed in traditional dresses. They really brightened up our classroom!

Please remember to come to school in your pyjamas this Friday for Children in Need. Please bring donations in to school and give them to your class teacher.
