Ladybird's visit to Polesworth Abbey

We all had a lovely day visiting Polesworth Abbey, on Ladybird's first school trip! When we arrived we were greeted by the extremely tired Innkeeper who told us he had been up all night because a King had been born. We followed the star to Bethlehem to find the stable where Jesus had been born. We paid our money to the tax collector and signed the census. Finally, we performed the Nativity in the beautiful surroundings of the Abbey itself.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the parents, and grandparents, who helped on our school trip! We would also like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy new year!

I really enjoyed my visit to Polesworth Abbey with the Reception Class. The children were very well behaved and they all enjoyed learning about the nativity. Well done, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
