Well Class 5 are halfway through their Abernant adventure and having a fabulous time! Everyone had a great nights sleep last night. The most exciting activity children had today was raft building! Children seemed a little too eager to get wet! Yet they had a great time building and then testing their rafts. One group also went down the zip wire today, I was so impressed with how brave everyone was! Mrs Russell also did it (I have video evidence too!). We also learned some survival skills and children had a go at using a splint to create a spark for a fire. Two groups participated in blind trail today, where they had to do an obstacle course blindfolded (very amusing to watch I must say!) I have never seen the children so enthusiastic! Let's just say the children got a tad muddy.....(please refer to photos below). Everyone has also had a go at rock climbing, there seems to be a correlation between distance climbed and length of the children's legs! The children are still eating well and the meatballs and jam rolly polly went down a treat at teatime! They have just had a drink and a snack and are now in bed ready for a busy day of kayaking and canoeing tomorrow. Yesterday the children each wrote a postcard, hopefully you should get them on Friday (fingers crossed none of them get lost in the post!). Myself, the staff and the children are sending our best wishes to everyone thinking about us at home :)
