DAY FOUR - Thursday 07.04.11

We are having such a wonderful time with your children. I suggested earlier that you should be proud of them; I'd just like to say how proud we are of them. They have achieved some amazing personal goals.

The Zip-Wire
Climb up a rope ladder to then launch yourself off the highest of platforms! Everyone has done this!! I believe one group is holding the world record for having three goes each!

Raft Building
Six barrels. Six ropes. Four wooden planks. Build yourself a raft that will hold ten and then float across the Abernant Lake to retrieve a gift for the instructor! Superb teamwork achieved.

Survival
Does what it says on the tin! The children have really enjoyed this one . . . literally playing with fire!!!!!

Archery
Real bows and arrows! And to think we worry about scissors in a classroom environment!! Some brilliant shots fired - none of them mine - just ask the children!

So weather report today: chilly, overcast but NOT raining.

I must apologize for incorrect sentence structure and spellings - I have read through yesterdays Blog and have noticed a few mistakes - I'm better in a classroom . . . honest!

What can I say? Your children are great. The Hotel is great! The instructors are great! The activities are great! To sum up . . . it's great.

Treat
We had a fabulous treat last night. Once all the children were showered and in their PJs, We tiptoed downstairs because we had been invited to listen to Doobi (an instructor) play the piano for us. He rounded the session off with the Moonlight Sonata which was perfect for then getting the children to bed and asleep. It was simply delightful.

I would imagine that this will be the last entry until we return so please, please, please buy some more washing powder . . . you are going to need it!
